- Added support for macOS 15.
- Refined Sound Control Settings interface.App is now sandboxed.
- The enable extensions alert now indicates spelling mistakes for the plug-in developer ID.
- Hot Keys can now be triggered with MIDI Control Change messages.
- Added smooth fade out, deactivate EQ, and fade in on quit and when turning Sound Control off. This is to prevent sudden volume changes on quit.
- Only force the welcome and volume warning to be shown once for each new version run.
- Added Privacy & Security settings.
- System Extension no longer processes audio for virtual audio devices. This interfered with other 3rd party audio capture solutions.
- Now lists aggregate devices last.
- Settings window no longer floats above everything else. It's just a standard window.

Great product, but it has been buggy with MacOS 14.5 - even with the version 3.1.8.
I have an external monitor with a USB hub (DesignGear DGFVIEW401) connected to an M3 MacBookPro via a USB-C cable. Audio is routed to the monitor via the USB-C cable and then from the monitor to an external stereo/speakers.
The external monitor is intermittently recognized when plugged in (cycles between connecting and disconnecting every 2 seconds or so). This is fixed by quitting Screen Control and restarting.
Once its connected to the monitor with Screen Control off, I can start Screen Control and it works. But the next time I connect, it has the disconnecting the external monitor every 2 seconds again.
Ideas?

It worked wonders for maybe a month when I bought it, but then Big Sur released and it was at least 7 or 8 months before they rolled out an update. Until then (after I had paid them money for the software), it did absolutely nothing. Than, by the time I got to use it with Big Sur, Monterey was pushed out and it was unusable again. It has been almost a year since I have been able to use this software, I'd almost go so far as to call them criminals for taking my money and failing to maintain the service they promised us.

Do not buy this!! It took them around 7 months after Big Sur came out to update the product. And now, on the latest update of the software and my mac, it crashes every time I try to open Sound Control. There are much better, more reliable options out there.

5 months later and no update for Big Sur. It is does not function at all on Big Sur.
